Woodgreen

Little Acorns is situated in the picturesque hamlet of Woodgreen in The New Forest National Park. Woodgreen is a quiet little village located in a conservation area, consisting of open common in a pretty spot with thatched cottages overlooking a forest lawn where ponies and cattle graze most of the day. On the far side of the forest lawn is Godshill Wood where deer and foxes may well be seen when walking through this tranquill wood. The Horse and Groom public house stands at the bottom of the hill and offers good food, local ales and is in easy walking distance of the house.

The village shop sells snacks, papers and postcards etc, even the Ponies and their foals make a neat queue on family allowance day! Also located in the village is the 'Village Hall' which is famous for it's murals depicting village life in the 1930's, which maybe viewed by appointment.

Take time out, walk the forest or heathland, cycle or take a stroll down to the River Avon and it's water meadows to watch the time flow by. Woodgreen is a very pretty tradional New Forest village.
